COMPOSITION:

Each film coated tablet of Mazar-H contains:

Losartan Potassium 100mg + Hydrochlorothiazide 25mg

DESCRIPTION:

Losartan Potassium: is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). It works by blocking a substance in the body that causes blood vessels to tighten. As a result, losartan relaxes the blood vessels. A lower blood pressure will increase the supply of the blood and oxygen to the heart.

Hydrochlorothiazide: reduces the sodium-potassium ATPase pump’s activity on the basolateral surface by preventing sodium from crossing the tubular lumen. This action prevents the movement of sodium and water into the interstitial space.

INDICATION:

– To lower high blood pressure (hypertension).

– To lower the risk of stroke in people with high blood pressure and left ventricular hypertrophy, which is a type of heart problem.

– Black people with both high blood pressure and left ventricular hypertrophy may not have a lower risk of stroke with losartan.

Losartan/hydrochlorothiazide may also be used for other conditions as determined by your healthcare provider.

DOSAGE:

Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 to 25 Mg + Losartan 50 to 100 mg orally once a day.

Maximum dose: Hydrochlorothiazide 25 mg + Losartan 100 mg orally once a day.

Storage Conditions:

– Keep the medicine in a dry place at a temperature below 30 °C.

– Keep the medicine out of the reach of children.

– Protect the medicine from direct sunlight.

– Do not use Mazar-H tablets after expire date.
