MAFMOL ORAL DROPS 100MG/1ML

(PARACETAMOL 100MG/1ML)

Composition:

MAFMOL Drops:

Each 1 ml contains:

Paracetamol 100 mg.

Properties:

MAFMOL is characterized as an analgesic and antipyretic. It relieves pain by increasing the central pain threshold and, to a lesser extent, by affecting the peripheral nerves. As for the effectiveness of Mafmol as a fever reducer, it leads to vasodilation of peripheral blood vessels and increased blood flow to the skin, thus increasing perspiration and reducing body temperature. The central and peripheral effects of Mafmol are primarily achieved by inhibiting prostaglandin biosynthesis.

Indications:

Mafmol is used to relieve mild to moderate pain in many conditions, including teething, toothache, and sore throat. It also reduces fever often associated with colds, influenza, and childhood infections such as chickenpox, whooping cough, measles, and mumps.

Contraindications:

Do not give Mafmol to a child if the child is allergic to paracetamol or any of the ingredients.

  • If the child is taking any other medications containing paracetamol.
  • If the child has a known intolerance to a sugar called fructose.

Dosage and Administration:

Infants (3-12 months): 50-100 mg paracetamol.

Warnings:

Please talk to your doctor before giving Mafmol to your child if:

  • Your child has liver or kidney problems.
  • Your child is underweight or malnourished.
  • Your child was born prematurely and is less than 3 months old.
  • Your child has a severe infection, as this can increase the risk of metabolic acidosis. Common symptoms of metabolic acidosis include: – Deep, rapid, and labored breathing. – Nausea (vomiting). – Loss of appetite. Contact your doctor immediately if your child has a combination of these symptoms.
  • Your child is taking metoclopramide or domperidone (used to treat nausea and vomiting) or cholestyramine (used to treat high cholesterol).

Side effects:

Like all medicines, Mafmol can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them. Very rare cases of serious skin reactions have been reported. Stop using this medicine and tell your doctor immediately if:

  • Your child has an allergic reaction such as a rash or itching, sometimes with breathing problems or swelling of the lips, tongue, throat, or face.
  • Your child develops a rash, peeling, or sores in the mouth.
  • The child has previously experienced breathing problems with aspirin or other NSAIDs and is experiencing a similar reaction to this product.
  • The child experiences unexpected bruising or bleeding.
