MAFMOL TABLETS 500MG (PARACETAMOL 500MG)

Composition:

Each coated tablet contains:

paracetamol …….….500 mg

Properties:

MAFMOL is a pain reliever and fever reducer. It relieves pain primarily by increasing the pain threshold centrally, and to a lesser extent, by affecting the peripheral nerves. As for the effectiveness of Mafmol as an antipyretic, it leads to vasodilation of peripheral blood vessels and increased blood flow to the skin, thus increasing perspiration and reducing body temperature. The central and peripheral effects of Mafmol are primarily achieved by inhibiting prostaglandin biosynthesis.

Indications:

Mafmol is used to relieve mild to moderate pain in many conditions, including: headache, migraine, neuralgia, toothache, and rheumatic pain. Mafmol is used to reduce fever in cases of influenza and fever, and it is also used to relieve menstrual cramps. Contraindications:

Do not take Mafmol tablets: if you have ever had an allergic reaction to paracetamol or any of the other ingredients.

• If you are taking any other prescription or over-the-counter medication containing paracetamol for pain and fever, cold and flu symptoms, or to help you sleep.

Adults and children aged 16 years and over:

500 mg – 1000 mg (one or two tablets) three to four times daily, not exceeding a daily dose of 4 grams (8 tablets).

10-15 years: 500 mg paracetamol (one tablet).

Warnings:

Paracetamol should be given with caution to patients with severe hepatic or renal impairment.

Use during pregnancy and lactation:

Laboratory studies conducted during pregnancy have shown no adverse effects from using the recommended dose. Follow your doctor’s instructions regarding usage. Paracetamol is excreted in small amounts in breast milk, and available data do not indicate that breastfeeding should be discontinued.

Side effects:

Paracetamol is generally well-tolerated when taken as directed. Rarely, some allergic reactions such as skin rash may occur.
