MAFMOL EXTRA TABLETS 500MG/65MG (PARACETAMOL 500MG + CAFFEINE 65MG)
Composition:
Each coated MAFMOL EXTRA tablet contains:
Paracetamol ……………….. 500mg
Caffeine ……………………….. 65mg
Properties:
MAFMOL EXTRA tablets contain paracetamol, an analgesic and antipyretic.
Caffeine is an additional analgesic that enhances the effect of paracetamol.
Indications:
MAFMOL EXTRA tablets are used to treat mild to moderate pain and help reduce fever, such as headaches and migraines, muscle aches and pains, menstrual cramps, sore throat, musculoskeletal pain, pain and fever following vaccination, pain following dental procedures/tooth extractions and toothaches, and arthritis pain. Contraindications:
Do not take MAF MOL Extra in the following cases:
– If you have ever had an allergic reaction to paracetamol or caffeine.
– If you are taking any other medicines containing paracetamol.
Consult your doctor before taking this medicine:
– If you have liver or kidney problems, including alcoholic liver disease.
– If you are underweight (50 kg) or malnourished.
– If you regularly consume alcoholic beverages.
– If you are severely dehydrated.
– If you are taking other medicines that affect the liver.
– If you have an acute infection, as this may increase the risk of metabolic acidosis.
Dosage and Administration:
– MAF MOL Extra tablets are for oral use only.
– Do not exceed the prescribed dose.
– Use the lowest effective dose to treat your symptoms and use the medicine for the shortest necessary time.
For adults and children over 12 years of age:
– Take one to two tablets every 4-6 hours as needed. – Do not take more than 8 tablets in 24 hours.
– Do not give Mafmol Extra to children under 12 years of age.
– Do not take any other paracetamol-containing products, and do not repeat the dose within 4 hours.
– Do not exceed the maximum recommended dose (see above).
– Consult your doctor if you develop a high fever, or if your symptoms worsen or persist for more than 3 days.
Warnings:
– Avoid consuming excessive amounts of caffeine in beverages such as coffee and tea. Too much caffeine can cause difficulty sleeping, tremors, and chest tightness.
– Always use the lowest effective dose to relieve your symptoms.
– If your symptoms persist or your headache becomes chronic, consult your doctor.
– If you take too many tablets, seek immediate medical advice, even if you feel well, due to the risk of serious and delayed liver damage. Prolonged use may be harmful unless under medical supervision.
Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding:
This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless advised by your doctor.
Side effects:
Like all medicines, Mafmol Extra tablets can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them. Very rare cases of serious skin reactions have been reported.
Stop taking the medicine and tell your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following:
– Very rare side effects (affecting fewer than 1 in 10,000 people): Allergic reactions, such as rash or itching, sometimes accompanied by breathing problems or swelling of the lips, tongue, throat, or face. Skin rash, peeling, or mouth sores.
– Or if you have had breathing problems in the past with aspirin or other NSAIDs and experience a similar reaction with this product.
– Unexpected bruising or bleeding.
– Changes in blood tests that measure liver function.
Other side effects include: insomnia, restlessness, anxiety, irritability, headache, upset stomach, heart palpitations, nervousness, and dizziness.
